Summary:

A beautiful fine ringed ammonia world with Albidum Chalice Pods, Purpureum and Roseum Ice Crystals.

Description:

This system is home to three Notable Stellar Phenomena. The closest upon entering the system is a Proto-Lagrange Cloud containing Viride Chalice Pods and Lindigoticum Silicate Crystals.

Proto Lagrange Cloud

While the Lagrange cloud itself is rather beautiful, it pales into insignificance compared to the Notable Stellar Phenomena for which the system gets its name.

Planet ABC 1

Dubbed the Grotto of Amethystos, planet ABC 1 is an Ammonia World with attractive banded rings. Nestled in one of the darker bands, where the rings are extremely thin, there is a location containing Purpureum and Roseum Ice Crystals, and Albidum Chalice Pods.

Chalice Pod

You might be tempted to turn on your ship lights for a better view of the chalice pods but they are photophobic and will jet away to another location if the light gets too close.

Chalid Pod Jets

The position within the ring system creates a glowing band of light behind the asteroids, as the denser outer rings are illuminated.

Ringside View

The colourful glowing clouds of cold gas and the sparkling lights around the ice crystals create a magical environment, which is framed by the Ammonia world.

Amethystos was a nymph transformed into an amethyst gem by the gods in Greek mythology, and so the name was chosen because of the association with the colour purple.

Grotto

Planet ABC 2 also contains a ring with Notable Stellar Phenomena.

ABC 2

In this case it is an icy body with an icy ring, containing Albidum Chalice Pods, Roseum Ice Crystals and Purpureum Silicate Crystals.
