DESCRIPTION | ||
→ | ||
→ | Body 6 of Shaulai RD-K d8-55 is a class IV gas giant with a massive outer ring, spanning a radius of 14,674,000 km at its furthest extent. The gas giant has a few shepherd moons between its 2nd and 3rd rings. Most notably, its 3rd moon is another gas giant on a highly-inclined orbit, offering breathtaking views of the large ring system. The system is located on the direct opposite side of the galaxy from Goliath's Sling, and is its mirror system in many regards. Both ring systems orbit around the 6th planet in the system, and both also have 2 shepherd moons and a gas giant moon in a highly-inclined orbit. CMDRs don't even have to utilize their ship's scanners to find the body - the rings are large enough to be viewed with the unaided eye from almost every other planet in the system, and are clearly visible from the system's drop-in point nearly 2,500 ls away. | |
